January 29th marks hall-of-fame wideout, Andre Reed's birthday. We've had the opportunity to catch up with Andre during his visits to his hometown, Allentown, PA. It's where he reflects on his childhood, playing a pick-up game at the park, and reminiscing on what Allentown used to be when he was a kid. His football career started right here at Dieruff High School and in his Senior year he led them to a tri-championship, tying with Emmaus and Whitehall. From there he went on to Kutztown University where he caught the eye of NFL scouts. In 1985 Reed was drafted in the fourth round as the 86th overall selection by the Buffalo Bills. He's also passionate about giving back and his work in the nonprofit sector. The Andre Reed Foundation was formedto help underprivileged children reach their full potential and become responsible contributors to their communities.
