Take in millions of twinkling lights. Lehigh Valley is home to three outstanding light displays, all fit for a perfect multi-generational excursion. For walk-through displays, make your way to Koziar’s Christmas Village (November 5, 2022–January 1, 2023) in Bernville where this family-run display has been wowing visitors for 70+ years. Or, head to the Lehigh Valley Zoo for their annual Winter Light Spectacular (November 12, 2022–January 1, 2023). Be sure to stop and say hello to the reindeer!

Peep drop at Peepsfest, Bethlehem, PAIf you prefer to stick together inside the warmth of your vehicle, consider adding a trip to Allentown’s Lights in the Parkway (November 25–December 31, 2022 – Closed Christmas Day) to your holiday itinerary. This local must-see winds through over a mile of Lehigh Parkway, one of the region’s most treasured parks. No visit to these festive displays is complete without a stop to see Santa & the chance to warm up with some hot cocoa!

For a shopping trip that the kids will also be into, head to Christkindlmarkt Bethlehem (Fridays-Sundays November 18-27 and Thursdays-Sundays December 1-18, 2022). Here, you’ll be able to find unique gift items under the warmth of heated tents. Little ones will love watching craftsmen at work creating hand-carved wooden tops, seeing ornaments come to life with live glass blowing demonstrations, and witnessing ice carvers at work. Be sure to visit the traditional St. Nicholas for an unforgettable photo opportunity.
