The Bottle Shop

Wine and cheese, anyone? The Bottle Shop in Allentown will be your new go-to spot for esoteric wines from all over the world that cater to all tastes and budgets. Partners Dan Gonzalez and Jesse Haik, who own PA Rye Co. next door, wanted to bring a new type of shop to the community. Customers can browse a variety of specialty wines and beers, or they can grab a quick Italian Baguette or Charcuterie Box at the deli counter.

DAM That’s the BAUM
at the Downtown Allentown Market

Have a DAM good time creating your own masterpiece at the Downtown Allentown Market on the Allentown ArtsWalk! The Baum School of Art has partnered with the Downtown Allentown Market to host an art class inside the Market on the third Wednesday of every month. Past classes have included painting your own disco ball, making succulents out of clay, and creating a macrame keychain! A teacher is there to walk you through the process and provide assistance as needed. Bonus perk: When you purchase your ticket, you get a $5 voucher to use at any Market merchant. You can use it towards a drink from Bar 1838 or some empanadas from Casa Criolla.

Amigos Mexican Grill

If you haven’t visited Downtown West yet, make your way to this thriving neighborhood in Downtown Allentown and try Amigos Mexican Grill! We’re always on the hunt for great Mexican food in Allentown and this new spot has us drooling over the tacos, burritos, and their signature Amigos Bowl. When the Archer Music Hall opens across the street in 2024, Amigos will be a go-to late-night option for hungry concertgoers.

Artventures for Families at the Allentown Art Museum

One of the biggest challenges parents face on the weekends is how to get the kids out of the house without breaking the bank. In case you didn’t know, admission to the Allentown Art Museum is now free! Every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m., bring your kids to the Art Ways Interactive Family Gallery, where you can create original works of art with the help of a Museum educator. Explore the Maker Stations, which include a digital studio where you can design an object and then bring it to life on a 3D printer! Make sure to stop by the Art Bar before you leave to choose from a selection of art-making supplies to take home.
