For the Foodies
Let your taste buds loose.
Farm-to-Fork restaurants and food businesses here in Lehigh Valley subside on the robust Buy Fresh Buy Local program, taking advantage of organic produce grown here, but you, too, can enjoy the fruits of the region’s labor at farmers markets and roadside stands selling fresh produce or even duck eggs, goat yogurt and oven-baked pizza made on site.
There’s more than a dash of BAM! served up at Sands® Bethlehem where celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse raises the steaks at Emeril’s Chop House, bringing his “New New Orleans”-style cooking to Emeril’s Fish House, and flips perfect patties at Burgers and More by Emeril.
No matter how you slice it, Cake Boss Buddy Valastro’s Buddy V’s Ristorante at Sands® Bethlehem is more than just pretty fondant and buttercream. Try a bowl of Valastro Family Gravy, rigatoni with meatballs, sausage, lamb and pork. And, it would be a mistake not to end the meal with Buddy V’s lobster tail dessert, a flaky crustacean-shaped pastry filled with custard cream.
Who knows – the students cooking your $40 prix-fixe seasonal dinner menu at Hampton Winds Restaurant, the BYOB restaurant school part of Northampton Community College’s Culinary Arts Program, could be the chefs or owners of Lehigh Valley’s top restaurants when you come back for another visit.
