Get out the party hats and chill the champagne — it’s time to party like it’s 2023. Bring on the bubbly! We're toasting to the New Year!
Glitzy parties, a PEEPS marshmallow drop, live music, and fine food and drink - what more could you ask for to ring in the new year? Let’s raise a glass with Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and the surrounding communities as we countdown to 2023 with fireworks, dancing, champagne toasts, live music, and more.
Two main events bookend the Valley on December 31, one in Allentown and the other on the SouthSide of Bethlehem. In Allentown, you can ring in the New Year with a Fireworks Celebration in downtown Allentown. Made possible by the partnership of the City of Allentown and the Downtown Allentown Business Alliance, the event begins at 9 p.m. at the southeast corner of 7th and Hamilton Streets in front of the Lehigh County Government Center. Musical performances by The Audio Files and dance performances by Ely Dance Studio will kick the evening off and continue leading up to the countdown to 2023. This event will coincide with evening specials and events at downtown restaurants including but not limited to Fegley's Allentown Brew Works, Bru Daddy’s, Bell Hall, Chickie’s & Pete’s, The Dime, Blended by Bru Daddy’s, and Tacos Y Tequila. Enjoy the evening at one or more of these great restaurants, then make your way to the center of Allentown to usher in the start of 2023 with music, fun, fireworks, and a ball drop!
Without a doubt, Bethlehem’s PEEPSFEST® is one of the most unique events around. This two-day festival located at SteelStacks (101 Founders Way, Bethlehem) welcomes the new year with live music, magicians, balloon animals, and plenty of kid-friendly entertainment. On December 31, the day culminates as the PEEPS® Chick Drop. Rather than using a disco ball at midnight, this beginning of the new year is celebrated at 5:30 p.m. with the descent of a 400-pound, 4-foot, 9-inch tall lit PEEPS®.
