Overview
Did you know the Marquis de Lafayette recuperated from wounds sustained at the Battle of Brandywine in the care of the Moravian community in Bethlehem? Enjoy this exclusive opportunity to hear the story of the battle and his time in Bethlehem as Ben Goldman interprets Lafayette in the Colonial Industrial Quarter, 248 years after the battle.
Ben Goldman presents an extraordinarily authentic Marquis de Lafayette, having studied Dramatic Literature and French at NYU. His knowledge of history and the details of Lafayette’s service during the American Revolution along with his deep, personal relationship with General Washington led him to performances at the White House and Mount Vernon.
Your evening includes light bites featuring a cheese course, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, Goldman’s presentation including time for Q&A and photo opportunities.
Plus! Meet author Anne Supsic whose historical fiction novel The Bookmark highlights a rumored romance between the wounded Lafayette and Moravian sister Liesl Boeckel.
