Educators: Join Us After Hours at the 1753 Bachmann Publick House!
Step into history and discover new ways to bring Northampton County’s past to life in your classroom. Educators are invited to join NCHGS for a special after-hours evening at the 1753 Bachmann Publick House, featuring our newly launched K-12 field trips and Unheard: The American Revolution, our new graphic novel created for young readers.
During the evening, educators will:
- Tour the newly interpreted 1753 Bachmann Publick House and discover stories of the people, places, and events that shaped our community
- Experience our new field trips and learn how the historic site can support classroom learning
- Explore Unheard: The American Revolution, a new graphic novel featuring ten stories that bring the American Revolution to life from diverse perspectives
- Discover NCHGS educational programs and resources available for teachers and students
- Get ideas for incorporating local history into your classroom through primary sources, objects, historic places, and storytelling
- Meet with NCHGS educators and museum staff to learn about field trips, school programs, and opportunities to bring your students to our historic sites
- Enjoy light refreshments and conversation with fellow educators
This special evening is designed for K–12 teachers, administrators, and educational support staff.
