Join us for a block-party style event to celebrate the vital work being done at the Sixth Street Shelter in Allentown!
On June 6th, 2023, Mayor Matt Tuerk of Allentown made a public proclamation recognizing the important impact the Sixth Street Shelter has on our community by providing assistance to families experiencing homelessness. June 6th was publicly proclaimed as "Sixth Street Shelter Day," and the plaque we received to mark the occasion hangs proudly inside the building.
We now celebrate every year on or near June 6th!
