Overview

Science of the Season at Da Vinci Science Center features holiday and winter activities for the whole family! From building your own polar base to exploring the science of The Nutcracker, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Winter Wonder Lab:

Da Vinci Science Center has transformed into a snowy research station where YOU’RE the scientist on an icy adventure!

• Design a transportation system for your polar baseColor and design large cardboard houses for your residents to live in
• Craft paper snowflakes and watch them whirl through wind tubes
• Work together to build a life-sized igloo
• And so much more!

Winter Wonder Lab activities are included with general admission or membership.

The Nutcracker! A Live Science Show:

Add some sweetness to your holiday! Decorate and enjoy festive Sugar Plum Cupcakes and Gingerbread Cookies while experiencing a 20-minute live Nutcracker-themed science show filled with swirling ballerinas and magical winter effects.

$10 per person ($8 per member)

Penguin Games:

Adopt a plush penguin and design its carrier. Have a dance party, send your new friend down snow slides, and more fun activities!

Fab Lab: Ornament Engraving:

Get in the holiday spirit with the Fab Lab! Join us and learn to design your very own wooden ornament, watch as your creation comes to life on our laser cutter, and decorate it with collage to make it pop!

Live Animal Encounters:

Meet some unique animal ambassadors from the Lehigh Valley Zoo and Da Vinci Science Center

• Lehigh Valley Zoo Animal Encounters: Dec. 29 & 30 at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
• Da Vinci Science Center Animal Encounters: Dec. 26-28, Jan 2 & 3 at 2 p.m.
