Using a variety of real life gourds as the subjects, you'll explore observational painting mingled with expressive, painterly strokes with an illustrative touch. Let go of “perfect” results — this class embraces experimentation, color layering, and discovering new ways to paint with creamy, bold gouache.
Even for beginner painters, gouache is a water activated paint that gives beautiful results. Similar to watercolor, gouache blends with washes, but it can also be layered overtop as it is opaque with a thick application. Come fall in love with this paint medium, as well as celebrate nature's harvest this season!
This event is geared towards adult learners, but teens 13+ are welcome to join a parent or guardian.
