Hellbender Hustle and Dragonfly Dash Trail Run

Overview

Join us AGAIN at Leaser Lake for our 3RD ANNUAL trail run/walk highlighting the Eastern Hellbender (also known as the snot otter!)-North America's largest salamander, and Pennsylvania's state amphibian! Come enjoy a morning outside and celebrate this rare and uniquely local species! The course’s meandering lakeside loop will take you through meadow, woodland, and streamside habitats of varying elevation, where native flora and fauna can be observed.

The event will begin with the Dragonfly Dash -a FREE~100-yard sprint for kids 12 and under, followed by a brief award ceremony, then the main race. Throughout the morning, enjoy family-focused educational activities such as crafts, FREE FACE-PAINTING, and lawn games.
