Overview
The Northampton County Historical & Genealogical Society and the Greater Easton Development Partnership invite you to join us for an unforgettable evening of history, celebration, and community at The Easton Declaration Dinner, honoring the 250th anniversary of the public reading of the Declaration of Independence in Easton.
Dinner guests are invited to gather for a signature commemorative experience that brings America’s founding story to life right here in the Lehigh Valley. Held in the spirit of the Revolutionary era, this special evening reflects on the bold ideas of liberty and self-government that shaped a nation—and the role Easton played in that defining moment.
In 1776, news of independence spread through Easton, where citizens first heard the Declaration proclaimed publicly, igniting conversations and commitments that would shape the future of the United States. Two and a half centuries later, we come together to honor that legacy with an evening of reflection and celebration.
Guests will enjoy a memorable dinner experience, engaging historic programming, and a chance to connect with fellow community members. Set against the backdrop of Easton’s rich heritage, this signature event is a meaningful way to mark one of the most pivotal anniversaries in our nation’s story.
