Overview

Founded in 1964 to support the Allentown Art Museum, the Society of the Arts (SOTA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to advance the Museum's outstanding artistic and educational programs. For over 60 years, SOTA volunteers have led docent tours, supported Museum programs and the Museum Store, and raised funds through signature events including the beloved Luncheon with the Authors series and SOTA Show Houses, a tradition dating back to 1973. SOTA's contributions include more than 400 prints purchased for the Museum's permanent collection through the SOTA Print Fund, the creation of the SOTA Education Endowment, and financial support for Free Admission for All and ArtVentures family programming.
