Overview

Hotel of Horror is a long running haunted attraction in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, where the Lehigh Valley meets the Pocono Mountains. Housed inside the legendary Lake House Hotel, Est. 1895, this permanent haunted house attraction has been welcoming Halloween guests since 1992.

Two haunted houses inhabit one historic hotel.

Hotel of Horror, the original haunted house and namesake, carries guests from the cavernous basement through the towering attic and back again. Victorian beauty, decaying elegance, detailed environments, and decades of collected history give the attraction a character that could only exist inside an authentic hotel.

Altered Nightmares takes a different turn, creating a surreal, psychological funhouse of the damned, where perception becomes increasingly difficult to trust.

Throughout the journey, live actors, theatrical lighting, dominating soundscapes, practical and special effects transform the imposing building into an immersive haunted experience. Beyond the manufactured scares, the Lake House Hotel also has a long history of reported paranormal activity, adding another layer to a property where the unexplained has become part of its story.

Together, the two attractions create one continuous journey through five floors of the historic property.

Hotel of Horror, is an easy Halloween road trip from Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and the greater Lehigh Valley. The attraction operates on select nights each fall, rain or shine, with free on-site parking.
