Overview
East Side Reservoir is a tranquil park located on East Union Street, on the City's east side. The main entrance is at E. Union and S. Halstead Streets. The park features walking trails, open fields and wooded areas.

Located in Trout Creek Parkway near the intersection of Dixon Street and South Delaware Street, the park includes two pens on two acres, one pen for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs.
The project was made possible by a $25,000 grant from Pet Safe’s Bark for Your Park program! The City was the recipient of one of just five grants across the country for a new park. In addition, Pet Safe awarded Allentown $10,000 for dog park maintenance. Allentown is the only Pennsylvania municipality to receive any funding from the program.
All dogs must be licensed, current with shots and registered with the Parks and Recreation Office. Proof of residency, shot history, and dog license information must be submitted with an application. Once your application is submitted, reviewed, and approved, you will be given a key fob to access the dog park.
Additional Information
- Two dogs per handler are allowed in the park at one time. If you have more than two dogs, you must bring another handler.
- Dogs must wear collars displaying their tags.
- Dogs weighing less than 30 lbs. must use small dog area. Dogs weighing more than 30 lbs must use large dog area.
- Dogs under six months of age are not permitted in the park.
- Male dogs that are not neutered are not permitted in the park.
- Female dogs, while in heat, are not permitted in the park.
- No children under the age of 12 are permitted in the park.
- Children between the ages of 12 and 17 must be supervised by an adult.
- No alcohol, food, dog food, treats, glass containers or special toys are permitted in the dog park.

Located between Hamilton Street & Linden Street, off of Ott Street, the Rose Garden features a beautiful array of roses and other flower varieties, in peak bloom typically June - July.
The Rose Garden is a popular park for walking, bicycling, and photography opportunities. Many couples choose to host their wedding in the Rose Garden, or take engagement or prom pictures. The 1.3 mile walking loop is a great way to exercise, and features a smaller loop with 10 Wellness Stations, designed with exercise equipment for ages 50 & older. Three pavilions are located off of Honochick Drive, as well as park restrooms. The Parks & Recreation Office is located along the walking path, at 3000 Parkway Blvd, and the Friends of the Allentown Parks Office is in the stone house directly adjacent to the Rose Garden.

Percy Ruhe Park is located at 1519 Oxford Dr and is often also known as "Alton Park" for the youth-serving organization that operates within the park.
A small pavilion is available for rent, and the park also features four baseball/softball fields, three football fields, three lighted basketball courts, restrooms, and a playground. This park hosts many athletic leagues, both youth and adult, and frequently hosts weekend tournaments and games for local organizations.

Roosevelt Park is a neighborhood park located between South Filmore St. and South Woodward St. to the east and west; and between Camp St. and Saucon St. to the north and south. The park features a playground, one baseball field, two lighted basketball courts, four tennis courts, and restrooms.

South Mountain Reservoir is located off S. 10th St and provides access to a large wooded area with walking trails leading into Salisbury Township. The pavilion features eight picnic tables and two single grills and is available for rent.

This downtown neighborhood park is located at the intersection of Tilghman & Sixth Streets. Stevens Park features a playground, half basketball court, community stage, pavilion, and grassy area. The park was renovated in 2016 and re-opened in 2017. The project was funded by the city, DCNR, and CDBG monies as well as in-kind work.

Valania Park is a neighborhood park located off of Union Street between William St. and S. 6th St. The park features a basketball court, picnic tables, and a large playground, and hosts the popular Summer Playground Program for children ages 7-15 each summer.

West Park is located between W Linden St and W Turner St, and between N 15th St and N West St. Parking lots can be accessed off of Webster St, Newton St, and N Baxter St.
Park amenities include grassy space, trails, restrooms, and band shell. West Park has a beautiful fountain you can take pictures in front of or make a wish. West Park is also a host location of our Summer Concert Series where you can sit and relax and listen to different bands.

Bucky Boyle Park is located on N. Front Street (10 Pump Place) in Allentown, and features a playground, spray park, baseball and football fields, basketball courts, restrooms and a pavilion available for rentals. Bucky Boyle Park is home to the Allentown A's Youth Sports Organization.

Li'l-Le-Hi Trout Nursery is open to all.
Hours: 7:00 a.m. - Dusk (7 days a week)
Tours: Park signage throughout the grounds can be used for self-guided tours by individuals or groups. Fish Food can be sourced from vending machines on-site.
Did you know
Three volunteer clubs maintain operations at the nursery (Pioneer, Lehigh County Fish, and Game Protective Association, and Trout Creek Hunting and Fishing Club). Canal Park is located at E. Walnut St/S Albert Street in Allentown, in close proximity to Keck Park with a beautiful overlook of the Lehigh River. The park connects with the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (D&L Trail), which is a multi-use trail that runs 165 miles through Northeastern Pennsylvania through Lehigh and Northampton County and into Bucks County. In partnership with Wildlands Conservancy, the park hosts popular Bike & Boat trips from the park to Sand Island in Bethlehem.

Located off Dixon Street just down from the Dixon Street Dog Park, Dixon Park baseball fields offer on street parking. They are located next to the Mountainville Memorial Youth Association athletic complex on the south side of Allentown.

Ithaca Playlot is a neighborhood park that includes a basketball court, playground, and small grassy field area. This site hosts the popular Summer Playground Program for children ages 7-15 each summer, and is located off Ithaca St between 30th and 31st Streets SW.
