What to Eat, See, & Do at the Easton Public Market in Just One Hour
The Easton Public Market is a food lover's haven, home to nearly a dozen vendors offering everything from deli-style sandwiches to seafood, loaded ramen bowls, and everything in between. But the market offers more than just food; there’s also a plant shop, boutique cheese shop, farmstand with fresh produce, a children’s play area, a winery, and a brand new photobooth!

With so many delicious choices, picking just one spot can feel a little overwhelming, especially if you’ve only got an hour for lunch (and you’re as indecisive as I am). But trust me, it’s absolutely worth the stop, and you’ll be glad you made the trip. For my most recent visit, I brought my mom and sister along. Here’s how our hour unfolded, and why Easton Public Market deserves a spot on your must-visit list!

Since we were all super hungry, we wasted no time in figuring out what we wanted to eat. My sister already knew she wanted a sandwich from Mangia Carne, which is conveniently located right when you walk into the market. It’s a new Authentic Italian butchery and market, owned by MasterChef winner, Luca Manfè. She ordered the Fuhgeddaboudit, a loaded hero stacked with Genoa salame, ham, hot capicollo, mortadella, mozzarella, lettuce, red onion, tomato, and balsamic vinaigrette served on a wooden cutting board. YUM. It took about five minutes to make, perfect for a quick, delicious bite.

While she ordered, my mom scoped out gluten-free options, which can sometimes be tricky to find when dining out. Fortunately, Easton Public Market makes it easy. She chose a chicken pesto crepe from Crepes at Casa, which was also ready in about five minutes. They offer both sweet and savory crepes!

I decided to switch things up from my usual brisket sandwich from More Than Q Barbeque or an Italian hoagie from Mangia Carne, and finally try Mr. Lee’s Noodles, a longtime fan favorite for many. The veggie ramen I ordered came packed with fresh ingredients and steaming broth. It took about 10 minutes to prepare and was worth the wait. I might be getting this every time I go now.
Pro Tip: If you’re on a time crunch and can’t make it to the market, most of the vendors offer delivery through DoorDash!

The timing of our food was perfect, so we could enjoy our meals without rushing, while having extra time for some browsing.
After eating, we walked over to the Highmark Farmstand. Overflowing with colorful seasonal produce, local dairy and honey, and kitchen goods, it’s impossible to leave empty-handed. I always love their collection of glassware and fun kitchen towels, and end up buying something. For once, I only left with the one thing, and it was a bunch of bananas, which I actually did need.
Pro Tip: If you’re a honey lover, try the raw honey from Funny Farm Apiaries; it changes season to season!

Before heading out, my sister needed a little caffeine boost, so we swung by The Nest. They have a revolving specials menu that changes seasonally, while still serving up all the classics (I’m looking at you, caramel iced latte). She ordered “The Swamp Witch,” an iced matcha infused with homemade caramel apple syrup. Meanwhile, my mom couldn’t resist stopping at Chocodiem for a little treat. She picked up a box of six gluten-free macarons, a bag of dark chocolates, and a few decadent Belgian truffles for my aunt.
Pro tip: Try their seasonal macarons (like the pumpkin cinnamon) or Belgian truffles (Dubai Chocolate), as they’re quick to sell out!

If you’re planning a trip to Lehigh Valley or are looking for your new favorite lunch spot in Easton, be sure to add the Easton Public Market to your list! Come hungry, take time to browse, and discover all it has to offer, even if you only have an hour to spare.
