Overview
The Old Bethlehem Walking tour shares the 280-plus-year history of Bethlehem’s unique beginnings starting in the early 1740s. On this approximately 90-minute tour through the Moravian Church Settlements – Bethlehem World Heritage site, you’ll stop at the 1741 First House and Gemeinhaus, 1750/61 Smithy, 1762 Waterworks, 1748 Single Brethren’s House, 1744/52 Single Sisters’ House, and the 1768 Widows’ House as you discover how Bethlehem’s earliest residents not only lived but flourished.
Join Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites for their Old Bethlehem Walking Tours, held Saturday through Sundays. Led by a certified guides in period dress, learn the story of Bethlehem’s unique beginnings in 1741. The walk will cover 275 years of Bethlehem history speaking on the 1741 Gemeinhaus, 1762 Waterworks, 1758 Nain-Schober House, and the 1752 Apothecary.
