Wildlands Conservancy's Brenner-Penfield Macungie Mountain & Reimert Memorial Bird Haven
Overview
Tucked along Macungie Mountain in the heart of the Lehigh Valley, the Reimert Memorial Bird Haven and Brenner-Penfield Macungie Mountain Preserve offer a peaceful escape into nature. Together, these protected lands feature more than 50 acres of forest with scenic trails ideal for hiking and birdwatching.
Visitors can explore the Magnolia Trail and Tulip Trail, which connect the two preserves, passing through mature woodlands filled with cucumber magnolia trees, native wildflowers, and a diverse array of bird species — from woodpeckers and nuthatches to the occasional scarlet tanager or sharp-shinned hawk.
These neighboring preserves, protected by Wildlands Conservancy, provide a beautiful glimpse into the region’s rich natural heritage and a serene retreat for outdoor enthusiasts.
