Meet Pastry Chef Ryan Mason

"Ever since I can remember I always wanted to be a pastry chef. I studied baking and pastry in high school and in college. I have worked for several bakeries and restaurants as the head pastry chef but always had the goal to have my own place. The first bakery I ever worked at was in Easton, Pa! When I created Cake & Corolla, I wanted it to be different. I wanted it to stand out from other bakeries. That is why I choose to be a flower shop and bakery in one. The definition of “Corolla” is where the petals of a flower form a whorl within the sepals, enclosing the reproductive organs. I think that cake and fresh flowers go beautifully together. I believe the products selected at the bakery can fulfill each category: classical, whimsical, and beautiful."
