Cedar Crest College
Overview
Cedar Crest College is a private, liberal arts institution primarily for women dedicated to educating the next generation of leaders and learners. Founded in 1867, Cedar Crest currently enrolls approximately 1,500 students in more than 50 fields of study.
Immersed in its mission, Cedar Crest delivers a powerful educational experience through strong scholarship, real-world training and holistic support. The College empowers its diverse student body — young women, adult undergraduate students and graduate students — to reach for bolder and braver goals, now and into the future.
Students in the traditional undergraduate women’s college have unique opportunities to add value to their degree with signature programs like The Sophomore Expedition, a guaranteed study abroad experience paid for almost entirely by the College; the 4-Year Guarantee, which provides a clear path to graduation; and 4 + 1 degree programs to help students get their master’s faster.
Cedar Crest has been named eleven years in a row among the top colleges in the nation by U.S. News & World Report’s Best College Rankings and as a “Top Performer on Social Mobility” from 2020-2022. In 2020, the College was recognized as #5 among Washington Monthly’s national “Master’s University Ranking.”
