America On Wheels
Overview
America On Wheels exists to showcase a profound, educational, and immersive tribute to America’s unique role in the evolution of the automobile and transportation in modern culture, to inspire and inform an enthusiastically mobile future.
More than just a car collection, the museum features cars, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles in addition to telling two very important regional stories – the history of Mack Trucks and the early development of the automobile industry and highway system in Pennsylvania. The museum offers hands-on exhibits, three galleries including a Changing Exhibit Gallery, kids’ restoration center, a Museum Store, an orientation theater, and an actual 1950s Diner exhibit (which can be rented for special occasions) and much more.
Regular Events include exhibit Preview Nights, Monthly Seminar Series, Exhibit Openings, various Car Shows, special offerings, giveaways, and opportunities for kids.
