Lehigh Valley Movies in the Parks

From classics of the Golden Age of Hollywood and retro childhood favorites, to the best family-friendly box office favorites from recent years, you'll be sure to enjoy the screen under the stars. All movies begin at dusk. If you're unsure when dusk is, visit any weather site to see the time of dusk each day. Check the individual Facebook pages for daily listings and weather-related cancellations.

There’s no shortage of showings (and food trucks) to check out; see the full lineup below.

Lafayette College’s Movies on the Quad returns again this summer. This free film series is open to all and features blockbuster movies on an outdoor screen on the picturesque quad. Events start at 7:30 p.m., with movies set to begin at 8 p.m.

• Aug. 11 (Rain date Aug. 13): Superman (2025)

Various Parks

South Whitehall Township visits parks all over South Whitehall to bring you the 2026 Movies in the Park series. Gather your friends, neighbors, and family and join for these free family-friendly films. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and get there a little early to snag the best viewing spot. Pre-Movie Activities and food trucks begin at 7 p.m., and the movie starts at dusk, or when it is dark enough to see the screen. All titles are subject to change based on availability.

• Friday, July 17: "How to Train Your Dragon" at Vistas Park (5320 Clauser Road, Orefield, PA 18069)
• Friday, August 14: "GOAT" at Springhouse West Park (5320 Farm Drive, Allentown, PA 18104)

Guests attending the Summer Family Movies Series at SteelStacks™ are invited to bring their blankets and lawn chairs to sit on as they enjoy movies under the stars. Free parking is available at the parking lots on First Street immediately adjacent to SteelStacks™; food and beverages will be available at the Mack Truck Stop at the Levitt Pavilion, as well as the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, located across the street from the Levitt Pavilion. All English films will have Spanish subtitles, and all Spanish films will have English subtitles. Movies begin at 6:30 p.m.

The City of Allentown's “Movies in the Park” series returns this year! The family-friendly movie nights are run by the Bureau of Recreation from May through August as part of the City’s free entertainment lineup this summer.

• Friday, June 12 at 8:30 p.m.: “The Bad Guys 2” at Stevens Park, 630 N 6th St, Allentown. Per-movie activities start at 7:30, and the rain date is Saturday, June 13.
• Friday, June 26 at 6:30: “Lilo & Stitch” at Cedar Beach Pool, 101 N Ott St, Allentown. The rain date is Saturday, June 27.
• Friday, July 10 at 8:30: “Captain America: The First Avenger” at Franklin Park, 214-232 N 14th St, Allentown. The rain date is Saturday, July 11, and pre-movie activities start at 7:30.
• Friday, July 24 at 6:30: “Zootopia 2” at Mack Pool, 1901 Mack Blvd, Allentown. The rain date is July 25.
• Friday, August 7 at 8:30: "Freakier Friday" at Cedar Rose Gardens, 2700 Parkway Blvd, Allentown. The rain date is August 8 and pre-movie activities start at 7:30.
• Friday, August 28 at 8:30: “Wicked: For Good” at Union Terrace, 200 S St Elmo St., Allentown. Pre-movie activities start at 7:30, and the rain date is August 29.
