Earth Day Celebrations in Lehigh Valley
Earth Day is April 22, and it's the perfect time to start thinking about getting outdoors and celebrating!
Across Lehigh Valley, there are plenty of eco-friendly activities designed to help you go green, connect with your community, and perhaps find a new hobby. Choose from activities like festivals, community clean-ups, tree plantings and more!

Allentown Events
Earth Day in the Park
Cedar Beach Park, 2600 Parkway Blvd, Allentown, PA 18104
Get hands-on on April 26 by participating in plant-your-own workshops or by practicing upscaling and recycling your old items! This free event offers access to local food vendors, eco-friendly businesses, environmental educators, and tons of family-friendly activities, crafts, and games.
Plant in the Park
Covered Bridge Park, 2465 Wehr Mill Road, Allentown, PA 18104
Plant trees and flowers on April 26 at Plant in the Park! The event will occur from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Covered Bridge Park Playground. While you help to plant trees and flowers, you'll also get some awesome landscaping tips while you're there (a win-win).

Earth Day at Fairview
Fairview Park: Join the Palmer Township Environmental Steering Committee for Earth Day on April 19! The celebration goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes a fun-filled day of community engagement, environmental education and learning about different sustainability practices.
Arbor Fest
Lower Hackett Park: Come hang out at Arbor Fest on April 26! Take a walk through the Micro-Forest and Food Forest, check out fun activities and info from local groups, help plant some trees along the bike path, and enjoy tasty spring treats and local vendor booths. The event runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Earthfest at Lafayette
Lafayette College Earthfest: Celebrate the planet at Earthfest on April 24! Stop by from noon to 5 p.m. to enjoy free food, fun activities, music, and eco-friendly giveaways. Connect with local environmental groups, learn about sustainability efforts on and off campus, and enjoy a laid-back afternoon on the Quad. Open to both students and the community! (Rain date: April 25.)
Lehigh Valley Zoo
Earth Day Celebration
Celebrate Earth Day at the Lehigh Valley Zoo on April 26 with enriching activities that will teach you the importance of sustainable life choices and many opportunities to fully immerse yourself in nature! Bring your old recyclables with you during your visit, and get ready to upcycle them into something you can use over again. While you're taking a walk through the exhibits during the scavenger hunt, stop by and see the North American River Otters, Luani and Piper, enjoy a frozen Earth Day cake!
Northampton Community College
Earth Day Festival
Northampton Community College Earth Day Festival on April 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Main Campus Quad. Attendees can enjoy a day outdoors with food trucks, live entertainment, local vendors and a variety of activities. Admission and parking are free for the event, and is open to all ages.
Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley
April 22:
Kick things off with a hands-on plant potting station and a scavenger hunt seed trail for all ages from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
April 26:
Come back for the full Earth Day festival! Enjoy making your own seed planting kits, pick up pet-themed giveaways, get creative at a bracelet making station, and more eco-friendly activities from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Franklin Hill Vineyards
Earth Day 3K
Celebrate Earth Day with a scenic 3K hike through the grounds of Franklin Hill Vineyards! Join winemakers as they guide you through the property, sharing the eco-friendly practices that keep the vineyard green and thriving. Along the way, enjoy three sip-and-snack stops paired with vineyard insights, plus an additional three stops at the winery to chat with the winemakers themselves. The 3K is from 10 a.m. to noon on April 19 and April 20. Tickets are $20. Click here to sign up!
