Hamilton District Main Street
In downtown Allentown you’ll find a commercial and cultural district, busy with unique ethnic restaurants, historical arts district, businesses – and residents – making this a vibrant center of activity. Visitors can discover a wide array of taste, culture, entertainment, and history.
The Hamilton District Main Street Program consists of the area from 5th Street to 12th Street, and from Walnut to Linden Streets, and is supported by adjoining city neighborhoods and the riverfront.
Eat your way through the Hamilton District and experience the tastes of the Bay Leaf, Pita King, ROAR Social House, Island in the Sun, the Hamilton Kitchen, the Dime, Allentown Brew Works - and so many more! Test your art abilities at a class at the Baum School; take in a show at Allentown Symphony Hall; enjoy the exhibits at the Allentown Art Museum; or take a walk through the Arts Park! The Hamilton District is also home to many treasures including the PPL Center, Tucker’s Yarn, Studio 606, Youth Education in the Arts, and Zion's Reformed United Church of Christ — the "Liberty Bell" church — which hid the Liberty Bell from the British in 1777. That's just one of the many stories downtown Allentown has to tell.
