Yergey Barleywine Bottle Release
Yergey Brewing is aware its been missing a key aspect of beer appreciation for our customers...waiting in lines. That all changes on Saturday, February 16, with the start of Lehigh Valley Beer Week. They are excited to announce their very first bottle release with a very limited bottling of their English-style Barleywine, Byggvir, coming in at 13.5% ABV!
Byggvir is the Norse god of barley, and this is a big, boozy beer! The aromas and flavors of this beer will continue to evolve as it ages, and it can be laid down for years. Young, it has aromas of caramel, toffee, dark fruits and alcohol. The initial flavors are similar, but other malt complexities, a pleasant bitterness and alcohol warming all combine to make this a great sipping beer.
The 22-ounce bottles will be $18 each with a limit of 1 bottle per customer due to the extremely limited quantities. This will be a great beer to lay down in your cellar, getting better with age.
