Torpor, Brumation, and Hibernation Hike
From bears to frogs, many of Pennsylvania’s wildlife species spend the winter in some form of hibernation. Join a Hiberation Hike with Jacobsburg Environmental Center on December 11.
Learn how they hibernate, and for how long, depends on the species and their habitat. During this program, you'll hike to discuss the ways in which wildlife conserve energy during the winter months and learn of different physiological changes animals must undergo to survive the harsh winter conditions. Registration is required.
