The Radio Adventures of Asseba and Sabina


From 1944-1954 area listeners tuned in every Sunday to hear the popular Pennsylvania Dutch radio series known as Asseba un Sabina relate the lives of a fictional Pennsylvania Dutch farm couple. In this lecture and book signing Professor Gregory Hanson of Kutztown University will chronicle the development of the program and provide some audio and visual material giving the audience a flavor of how the dialect series was produced.
