Pocono Organics Clean Food, Dirty Hands Series (Youth)
It’s time to get your hands dirty!
Pocono Organics welcomes you to Clean Food, Dirty Hands! A regenerative organic education experience at the farm. Kids are invited to join for a 6-month program, meeting once a month to learn how to help produce some of the cleanest veggies in the world.
The program is geared towards youth to educate them about where our food comes from and what it takes to grow, nurture, and harvest food, as well as the power of soil and the fragile ecosystem that we need to protect. From exploring the importance of soil health to crafting a meal with farm-fresh ingredients, activities will include: planting seeds, building a compost bin, art projects with up-cycled materials, harvesting vegetables to create a meal, and more.
