National Girls and Women in Sports Day
Cedar Crest College will hold its annual event for National Girls & Women in Sports Day during the 1:00 basketball game on Saturday, February 17.
The event is one of more than 1,000 events taking place across the country for National Girls & Women in Sports Day. Congress has proclaimed this national day each year since 1987. The Day is devoted to recognizing the progress of girls and women in sports, and the benefits that sports and fitness activities can bring to the lives of all girls and women. The Day is organized nationally by the National Girls & Women in Sports Day Coalition; to learn more, visit www.NGWSD.org.
We will have players and coaches from various teams running games and activities for the girls during timeouts and halftime. All participants will receive free admittance to the game, a Falcons water bottle, an official National Girls and Women in Sports Day Certificate, and will have the opportunity to meet our Falcon athletes after the game!
Check in will begin at 12:15 in Lees Hall.
