Monocacy Farm's 4th Annual Food Festival
Families are invited to the 4th Annual Monocacy Farm Food Festival.
Monocacy Farm Project will host The 4th Annual Monocacy Farm Food Festival, a family-friendly event for the whole community. The festival will feature local food and artisan vendors, fun children’s activities and crafts, tractor demos, face painting, environmentally friendly toys with Bob Swaim, chef demos, workshops, petting zoo, farm tours, live music, great raffles, and much more. The first 100 individuals/families will receive a free bag with exciting goodies inside.
For entry, a donation of $5 per person or $10 per family is suggested. Free parking is available. All proceeds benefit The Monocacy Farm Project.
The Monocacy Farm Project is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. The farm project:
- provides area residents and low-income families access to affordable organic produce.
- supplies local shelters, food pantries and soup kitchens with donor-sponsored organic produce during the spring and summer growing season.
- teaches interns and volunteers hands-on experience in organic gardening and farming.
- includes on-site community gardens for those who wish to grow their vegetables and a "Pick-Your-Own" program for those wishing to harvest their own organically-grown produce.
