LCCC Reschedules Free Will Debate/Discussion
Lehigh Carbon Community College’s (LCCC) Psychology Club has rescheduled the academic debate/discussion on the topic of free will to Wednesday, April 25, at 6 p.m. in the Scheller-Woodman Community Services Center at the college’s main campus in Schnecksville, Pa. It was cancelled due to inclement weather on March 21.
The event will feature philosopher and theologian Matthew Brake, the creator and founder of the blog Pop Culture and Theology, a part of the Theology Corner blogging network. Brake is a dual master’s degree student in interdisciplinary studies and philosophy at George Mason University, and has a master of divinity degree from Regent University. He will engage in debate with LCCC assistant professor of psychology Gary Andrews. The goal is to foster a respectful academic exchange of ideas. There will be time for questions from the audience at the conclusion of the debate. More information on Brake can be found at www.popularcultureandtheology.com and www.noetic-series.com.
