LCCC Presents Diversity Workshop and Lecture


Lehigh Carbon Community College’s (LCCC) Diversity Committee will host an evening presentation with Shaashawn “The Voyce” Dial-Snowden at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 15, in the Alumni Center in the Rothrock Library on LCCC’s Schnecksville campus. The event is free and open to the public. Dial-Snowden is an award winning radio broadcaster, published poet, multi-sensory workshop facilitator and public speaker. She serves on the Board of Directors of the LGBT Center of Central Pennsylvania and speaks on multiculturalism, leadership, self-development and advocacy for the LGBT community in her workshops.

She will conduct a student workshop for LCCC students at 2:30 p.m., also in the Alumni Center.

In addition to releasing two books of poetry and a CD titled, “VOYCEMAIL,” Dial-Snowden has served as program director of Harrisburg’s urban radio station WTCY 1400 AM and creator/hostess of its “The Shaashawn Dial Show” live weekday show.
