A Plethora of Petticoats
Staged in the lovely Victorian parlor of the 1833 Mixsell-Illick House at 4th and Ferry Streets in downtown Easton, this exhibition will “undress” the history of common undergarments, leisurewear, and more. We will showcase an array of undergarments that created the fashionable silhouettes worn by Northampton County residents from the 1700s to the 1950s, along with some of the chic and comfortable at-home wear they donned as they relaxed or went about their daily tasks. Ooh, la, la!
Tours will be available on select dates and by appointment for small groups. If you would like to arrange a private tour, please contact us at 610-253-1222 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
