Ya know that game your parents made you play on vacation to pass the time in the car? The one where you keep track of different license plates you saw?  Well, this past Sunday we drove to The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley.  Since I was in the passenger seat, I had the chance to look around and noticed a Virginia plate, then a Michigan plate. Good, I thought...VISITORS!

Two are easy to remember, but after that I decided to play the game. Grabbing a business card from my purse, I started jotting them down. Here's my tally...

  1. Virginia
  2. Michigan
  3. Massachusetts
  4. New York  (around now I decided to add "the usual suspects" for our area)
  5. New Jersey
  6. Pennsylvania (duh!)
  7. Florida
  8. Delaware
  9. Connecticut***
  10. Vermont
  11. Texas
  12. Maryland
  13. Missouri

All-in-all, a good number represented in such a short amount of time. And, since PA is such a big state, even if they weren't actually staying here on this trip, they probably stopped for gas and a meal. Maybe they all just took the hint from the website on our PA plates ... Visit PA.com.

***I know this one is dropping lots of cash in PA. It was on the campus of DeSales University!

How many out of state plates can you spot? Let me know if you see some I didn't.
