It's only January but cabin fever is already starting to set in. Lately while I'm supposed to be working, I've been daydreaming about being able to go outside and smelling fresh spring air and not having to thaw out my fingers after walking across the street from the parking garage.
I've decided that the first thing I'll do when the weather turns nice is play mini-golf. It's one of my favorite date nights in the spring, when you can wear a sweatshirt and be comfortable.
I was expressing my recent golf epiphany to Kim when she told me about an event the Chamber is hosting at Historic Hotel Bethlehem next Thursday. It's called the Puttle Pro-Am Tournament, which sounds like something Tiger Woods would play in. After watching a demonstration of it - which involved a golf putter, golf ball and bowling pins - it looked more my speed than Tiger's!
I suppose a puttle tournament could satisfy my mini-golf cravings for now, but I still can't wait to get out there and try my hand on a real course at Putt U (my vote for best outdoor mini-golf course in Lehigh Valley). Hmm, better start thinking about which course to try first, red or blue...
What's the first thing you'll do when the weather turns nice?
