Sunflower Day at the Easton Farmers’ Market

Sept. 7 | Easton Centre Square
Stock up on late summer produce at the perfect floral decoration for the seasonal transition - sunflowers, of course! The Easton Farmers’ Market is recognized as the oldest continuous open-air market in the country and boasts 30+ vendors each Saturday morning.

Allentown Beer Festival 

Sept. 7 | Downtown Allentown
Sip your way through downtown Allentown at this annual celebration of craft beer. Unlike many beer festivals, this event is open-air and takes place throughout the downtown area. Grab a passport and sample your way through some of the region’s finest brews, with more than 60 different breweries and over 120 different beers available to sample.

Brew at the Zoo

Sept. 7 | Lehigh Valley Zoo
Enjoy samples of 40+ craft beers in a souvenir mug at the Lehigh Valley Zoo. Your admission to the event also includes regular access to the zoo, so you can wander about to see the animals in between drinks. The event also features live music, games, and more.

Historic Bethlehem Apple Days

Sept. 7-9 | Burnside Plantation
Celebrate fall’s favorite fruit at this annual celebration at Burnside Plantation. Enjoy apple-centric foods, live entertainment, kid’s activities, and more. Apple Days also features chances to put your skills & appetites to the test with donut eating and pie baking competitions for both kids & adults.


Sept. 14 | SteelStacks
Savor the flavor of one of Pennsylvania’s most iconic foods. Pick up a tasting passport to get access to six loaded pierogies, with 12 varieties in total to select from. Options include buffalo chicken, brisket, pizza, and more - plus a sweet apple pie filled pierogi for dessert!

Opening Day: Great Pumpkin Fest 

Sept. 14 | Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom
During daytime hours, Dorney Park is filled with family-friendly fun! Don your best Halloween costumes and enjoy meet & greets with PEANUTS characters, trick or treating, petting zoos, and more. Select rides are also open for enjoyment.

Opening Day: Halloween Haunt

Sept. 20 | Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom
When dusk falls, the spooks come out! Halloween Haunt at Dorney Park features eight mazes filled to the brim with surprises, three scares zones (two new for 2019), two shows, and more. Beware of haunts wandering through the park as well - there’s thrills hiding behind every corner!

Riverside Festival of the Arts

Sept. 21-22 | Scott & Riverside Parks
Explore the works of local artists while enjoying the scenery along the confluence of the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers. This annual event features live music, food trucks, and more - all with free admission, making for a great outing for the whole family.

Celtic Classic

Sept. 27-29 | Bethlehem
From bagpipes to beer - this celebration honors Celtic heritage in Lehigh Valley. Don’t miss the Highland Games featuring events including the tossing of the caber. Celtic Classic also features a pipe band competition, a fiddle competition, the Showing of the Tartan parade, and so much more.

Allentown Arts Fest

Sept. 27-29 | Cedar Beach Park
Sponsored by the Alternative Gallery, the Allentown Arts Fest honors all things urban art. The event features a skate park, graffiti demonstrations, comedy shows, and much more. The free event allows local artists to showcase work for sale, giving you the opportunity to browse the works while enjoying the entertainment on site.
