Motorcoach industry = Family. I have always believed this statement, but the past couple of months have proved this to be so true. August of 2014 marked the 12th year of my career at Discover Lehigh Valley, and I have always been involved in the group tour market in some way, shape or form. I am reminded of this unique market every time I speak with a tour operator about an itinerary idea.

The conversations usually start with a question about Erin, my wife, or Snickers, my Corgi, long before business is discussed. That’s the beauty of the industry; it is all about a relationship. With that being said, I want to thank you for being a client and, more importantly, for being a friend.

Since we are being nostalgic, I thought I would mention some of my favorite memories from my first year in the industry. There was my first trade show experience at the Friendship Tours Travelfest with Sandy Delin, followed by a memorable Fun Tours Marketplace with Gwen Elmore. While these shows were special, the most memorable experience had to be at ABA in Indianapolis. That’s where I was introduced as Tip the Crayon at the Pennsylvania Breakfast. I don’t think I will ever live that one down.

I can’t wait to see you on the road over the next few months. If you have any questions about these new additions or want to discuss an itinerary, please feel free to contact me.
