Last weekend I took full advantage of the unusually warm February weather.

On Saturday the usual suspects and I headed down to Jordan Creek Parkway for a round of disc golf. The course was covered with snow, but the weather was beautiful. We did the same thing Sunday in even nicer weather, but the snow was melting at a rapid pace and the course was like a swamp. Sloppy is an understatement for the condition of the course and the players - we were covered in mud!

After disc golf on Sunday there was still plenty of sunshine for some more outdoor activities. My fiancée, Casey, and I decided to get the bikes and go for a couple of loops around the Whitehall section of the Ironton Rail Trail.

While there are a slew of bike trails around the Valley, our favorite - once the weather gets better - is the Lehigh Canal Tow Path. We start at the Allentown Canal Park and ride down past Bethlehem Steel. It is an easy ride and nice scenery. I think down and back is roughly 15 miles.

What did you do during the recent bout of nice weather?
