With more than 140 performances of seven productions each summer, the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival offers motorcoach groups special add-ons, including menus themed to the show, a chance to meet the artists and backstage tours.
A professional company in residence on the idyllic Center Valley campus of DeSales University, PSF features acclaimed actors from New York, Philadelphia and L.A. performing in two fully accessible, air-conditioned theaters.
New in 2015: a Wednesday matinee of the season’s musical. Currently on Broadway, the musical has been a global success on stage and screen. Due to a licensing agreement, PSF will announce the title January 1, but is accepting group reservations for Wednesday, June 17 and 24 performances.
In addition to the musical, PSF will produce Shakespeare’s Henry V and Pericles, the rambunctious romp Around the World in 80 Days, and the hit comedy The Foreigner.
The 2015 dates are:
- TBA Children’s Show May 29 - August 1
- TBA Musical June 10 - June 28
- Around the World in 80 Days June 17 - July 5
- The Foreigner July 8 - August 2
- Henry V July 16 - August 2
- Shakespeare for Kids July 22 - August 1
- Pericles July 22 - August 2
Performances are held 7 p.m. Tuesdays, 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. There are also some 7:30 p.m. Sunday performances.
