It is National Pizza Day today, not to be confused with National Pizza Party Day (Third Friday of May), National Cheese Pizza Day (September 5), National Pepperoni Pizza Day (September 20), National Sausage Pizza Day (October 11), or National Pizza With Everything Except Anchovies (November 12).

I'm not making this stuff up. I couldn't, nor would I. Who needs a day to celebrate one of the perfect foods?

Now, there are many arguments to be made about this perfect food, which is to say that although we may eat pizza often, what we like and where we like to get it are cause for argument.

Pie or tray? Thin crust or deep dish? White or Red? And with those three out of the way, what do you want on it? The options are endless.

But regardless of your persuasions for a pie or a tray, white or red, or even crust or toppings, Lehigh Valley is full of restaurants to get your fill.
