Did you notice the rain on Saturday in Lehigh Valley? Well it didn’t seem to keep many of the diehard fans away from Musikfest.
My wife and I were a few of those fans, excited to see the new South Side campus. We arrived in time to check out the new Americaplatz. The two of us enjoyed the music of Love in Stockholm, while eating some delicious chicken tacos from Cactus Blue. Americaplatz offered great food and entertainment as we waited for the evening’s main concert; Maroon 5.
As we waited for the concert to begin, we walked around PNC Plaza looking for different vendors and the nearest beer tent. We got to our seats around 7:30 in plenty of time to see PJ Morton take the Sands Steel Stage. The band did a great job of warming up the crowd and ended their set with the theme song from Cheers (a crowd pleaser).
After a slight intermission, it was time for Maroon 5 to take the stage. The band came out with so much energy and excitement that the majority of the crowd didn’t even realize it was raining. The sold out crowd thoroughly enjoyed the band’s performance, especially “Harder to Breathe”, “Misery” and “Moves Like Jagger”. Adam Levine did an outstanding job of keeping the crowd pumped up throughout the entire show.
The new Sands Steel Stage is a great place to see a concert. Which band are you planning to see at Musikfest?
