June is here and for Casey and I that means it is prime time for dining alfresco. We eat out from time to time during the winter months, but once spring rolls around we are going out to eat at least once a week to sit out in the evening sun and have a good meal and a cold beverage.

Here are a few of our favorite outdoor places to dine.

I'm going to start with a newcomer to our outside dining rotation: Leather Corner Post in Orefield. There's a patio that wraps around this old hotel, which provides plenty of outdoor dining and a nice rural atmosphere. The food is delicious. While you're there you can get your “Boomba On” or play horseshoes in the backyard.

Next is Chili’s in Whitehall. I know it's a chain, but it is conveniently located for us, has solid food and a nice outdoor section.

Casey and I went to get tacos at Liberty Street Tavern on Tuesday and to our surprise they had 6 tables set up on the side walk. We were too late to snag a table, but next time we're going to get there early.

Pearly Bakers has a nice little outdoor section right on The Circle in Easton. While Leather Corner has the rural thing going, Pearly’s has the urban thing. Kind of reminds me of eating out front of a pub in Philly. Oh, they have outstanding burgers and onion rings.

Last but not least, Willow Street Pub. This is by far our most-frequented establishment. It has a nice sized deck - probably the one with the most outside seating out the restaurants I mentioned. All the food is good, but their French Onion Soup is probably the best in the world. The Irish Chili is no slouch either.
