Lehigh Valley is fortunate to be home to several great seasonal farmer's markets. And much to my delight the Easton Farmers' Market opened for the season last Saturday. If you've never been, you really should check it out.

I like the fact that this farmers' market is a growers market, so when I shop there I know I'm buying from local people who make and/or grow what they sell.

During my morning visit I started with a cup of coffee from the Easton Coffee Exchange booth followed by a cherry turnover at The Flour Shop's booth. Then I browsed the booths selling fresh flowers and herbs, artisan cheeses and dairy products, homemade salsa and even alpaca socks. I noticed that the selection of fresh produce was limited, but that will change soon enough as summer gets nearer.

I'm interested to know what your favorite farmer's market is and why.
