A couple of weeks ago Erin and I decided we wanted to go ice skating for our date night. As you have seen in my previous blog posts, most of our evenings involve visiting one of Lehigh Valley’s many restaurants. This Friday night was no different.
After some back and fourth, we decided to go to Burgers And More By Emeril at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem. We both decided to try February’s featured burger, which was an 8-ounce burger marinated in a peppercorn sauce topped with grilled onions and blue cheese. The burger and onion rings were an excellent choice.
After dinner, it was off to the Steel Ice Center for their public skating hours. I hadn’t been ice skating in over a year, but I was confident that I could make it 2 hours without falling. My confidence comes from my size 13 skates. It’s easy to stay upright when your feet are that big. The crowd of adults and teenagers enjoyed the live DJ who played music all night. Erin and I were able to skate around for a couple laps without falling; a good thing for both of us.
To celebrate our victory at the Steel Ice Center, we headed over to Bethlehem Brew Works for a couple of drinks. I was excited to see that they had the Belgian Trippel on tap. I had heard great things about this beer, so I was excited to give it a try. The brew did not disappoint and after enjoying a couple of those delicious beers we were headed home. Our great date night in Bethlehem had come to an end.
