Our holiday family tradition is going to the Manor House in Center Valley for dinner every Christmas Eve.
A few historical highlights on the place, according to its website: The Manor House was built in the 1740s. In 1985, a man named James Duke bought it; Duke expanded the Manor House to seat 100 people and to accommodate large private groups. In 1994, the American Academy of Restaurant Sciences gave the Manor House it’s highest award, The Five Star Diamond.
Christmas Eve dinner at the Manor House is definitely the best meal I have all year. It is always a unanimous decision for the appetizer: Poisson Fume, which is smoked trout and salmon with horseradish crème fraiche. As for entrees, every year I like to try something different. This year I am going with Canard De Rotis. That would be duck. It's a good thing they have descriptions on the menu. I would be totally lost with out them. My French is not very good.
Hope everyone has a nice holiday.
