I love to shop. Well, except for cars. Car shopping is one of the worst things to do in the world. I mean, how can you decide what car you want by test driving it for 15 minutes? That's a lot of money to spend basically on a whim. And, there are so many choices! Don't even get me started on my thoughts about car salesmen either! Well, actually I don't mind the salesmen; it's their "pit bosses" that drive me insane. You know, the guy that sits behind the tall cubicle or in the office you can't see, that has just the "deal" for you? I hate that haggling experience.

So why the rant on car shopping? My son is 16 and will hopefully be getting a job for the summer and will need transportation so I have decided to give him my vehicle and get a new one.Which means I started my car shopping last weekend. I test drove three cars - Mazda 3, Hyundai Sonata, Honda Accord - which seemed to take an eternity. Then, I realized there may be a better, faster way to shop for a new car in Lehigh Valley.

The Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Show is coming up March 25 - 28, which means I will have just about every car imaginable under one roof (well, technically three roofs because it's held in multiple buildings at Lehigh University)! I can sit in them, ask questions about them, get brochures on them, and then go home to decide what I want to test drive.

I went to the show two years ago to check it out and really enjoyed it. I'm thinking I could get a great deal. Or, it could spell disaster and my brain could be totally overloaded with too many decisions to make. At least I found a $2.50 off coupon to get in.

So, any makes or models you'd suggest I check out while I am there? Also, any suggestions on which Lehigh Valley dealers are the best to work with?
