Friday evening, my wife and I had just returned from vacation and neither of us felt up to cooking. We decided to try a restaurant to which I had been but she had not - Asia. It's located on Susquehanna Street in Salisbury Township not far from Gauff's Hill.

What an incredible experience!

We started with the Hot & Sour Soup. It was hearty, delicious and delivered a great mix of what it promised - heat and sour.

We ordered three appetizers off of the Chef's Recommendations portion of the menu. - The Vietnamese Summer Rolls were light and flavorful with just the right amount of cilantro. - The shrimp dumplings (they have a specific name that I cannot recall) were light and tasty. - Our favorite, and one impossible to take out was the Chicken Lettuce Cups. They are bowls of lettuce filled with a chicken, noodle and spice mix that was enough for an entree. All three appetizers were served with three sauces - a sweet & sour sauce, a peanut sauce and a cashew pesto sauce that was simply amazing!

Asia was also one of the Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in the United States for overall excellence. It was also selected by readers of The Morning Call as the best Chinese Restaurant for 2008.

We'll be returning to sample the other items on the menu. Have you tried Asia yet?
