This spring, America On Wheels Museum in Allentown will host The Orphan Car Exhibit, dubbed “Gone, But Not Forgotten ... Orphan Marques 1950 to Present.” Orphan cars are defined as either manufacturers or brands that are no longer produced. Visitors will be enthralled with viewing vehicles that weren't seen or appreciated for very long and are rarely seen in public.

Some of the vehicles that will be displayed include:

  • 1954 Pontiac Chieftain Convertible
  • 1957 Hudson Hollywood Hornet
  • 1959 Edsel Villager Station Wagon
  • Amphicar
  • 1982 Delorean
  • 1959 Vespa-Semi-Convertible
  • Vanguard CitiCar
  • 1951 Thrift-T
  • 2009 Pontiac Solstice Turbo GXP Coupe

Twelve unique orphan cars will be on display beginning April 11, just in time to celebrate America On Wheels’ sixth birthday. The exhibit runs through October 30, 2014.
