As the name implies, the store is housed in a lovely, old restored barn. Although I love going in the winter around the holiday season when they have a fire roaring to keep toasty, the place is great to visit anytime.
The "Barn" is actually three separate floors, each with multiple rooms:
- The main floor has most of the antiques and furniture
- The upstairs has lots of the handmade craft items
- The basement (aka the "bargain basement") has a mixture of everything, all 50% off!
So, which floor is my favorite? Definitely the upstairs, although the Country Store on the main floor is pretty neat too.
The decor is spectacular and the hospitality is even better. You are always greeted with a smile and treated special, unlike some other shopping experiences. The only downside to the "Barn" is the limited accessibility for handicap visitors, although they do their best to accommodate everyone as best they can.
Have you ever been to the "Barn?" If so, what's your favorite floor?
