A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit several Lehigh Valley attractions on a familiarization tour with a bus full of people who were visiting the region. Everyone aboard the bus is responsible for planning group getaways for their area (Shamokin, Pa.).
The day was very busy, it started with a tour of the Martin Guitar Factory and Museum, followed by Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem and ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks. The last stop was Vynecrest Winery and it was the perfect way to end the tour.
Set amidst the rolling countryside of western Lehigh Valley lie several wineries; Clover Hill, Pinnacle Ridge and Vynecrest. These are just three of the wineries that make up the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail. At Vynecrest I watched (and sampled a few) as the group enjoyed learning more about each of the wines and conversing with their friends. They even made a new friend ... the resident dog at the winery! The owner of Vynecrest, John, made everyone feel at home and it was the perfect end to a very long day.
I have the feeling most of the people on the tour will be back again. Lehigh Valley is full of fun and exciting things to do. What's your itinerary when visiting or when you have company in Lehigh Valley?
